Funded under the EU’s Digital Europe Programme, EUNOMIA.AI is a three-year project helping public administrations across Europe use generative AI (GenAI) in ways that are practical, open, and trustworthy.

The project brings together public administrations, research institutions, and technology partners to build GenAI tools designed around real needs and tested in practice.

Areas of Focus

Public administrations across Europe handle complex, demanding work every day. EUNOMIA.AI is building and testing practical GenAI tools in four areas that shape everyday life for citizens.

Simplification & Compliance

Simpler processes, faster decisions

Public employees spend much of their working day on document analysis, procurement, multidisciplinary assessments, and administrative workflows. EUNOMIA.AI is building GenAI tools to support these processes, from document review to decision preparation, so people can focus on the decisions that need their expertise and judgement.

Rule-as-Code

Regulations people can actually understand

Legal, regulatory, and administrative content is complex by nature. EUNOMIA.AI is developing GenAI tools to help interpret, structure, and explain it: plain-language explanations of regulations, expert knowledge extraction, and support for administrative interoperability across systems and borders.

Virtual Assistance

Faster, clearer answers for everyone

Citizens looking for information about public programmes or funding opportunities. Public employees searching for internal guidance. SMEs navigating public procedures. EUNOMIA.AI is building multilingual, conversational GenAI assistants to help people find what they need, in their own language, from help desk support to event information services.

Multimodal Automation

Complex information, handled

Public services process information in many formats: text, structured data, audio, images, and other digital inputs. EUNOMIA.AI is developing GenAI tools that work across these formats to classify information, extract relevant insights, and support decision-making, so people can spend less time on manual processing and more time on judgement.
